Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush

One Shade Glams All:  This trio of shimmering shades blends to create the perfect flush for any skin tone at any age, year-round.

Too Faced Sweathearts Blush Packaging
Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush gives a gorgeous glow that really is quite close to perfect.  With three shades that can be worn individually or swirled together, Sweethearts Blush offers just enough illumination for a romantic flush.  As part of the Spring 2013 release from the brand, I think this blush is the perfect shade for winter as well.  The slightly cool pink tones of the left color work well December through May.  And the heart-shaped box?  It’s pretty hard to resist!

The three-in-one packaging is appealing to the eye and makes using the blush on-the-go easy, but it has its drawbacks.  Mixing the three shades is not a problem.  However the size doesn’t allow much room for a standard blush brush to pick up one color at a time.  To reach only one shade, it’s necessary to condense brush bristles, use a very narrow brush, or fingers.

The most easily transferred shade is the cool pink on the left of the heart.  It is shimmery and works well with the berry-toned Lip Cremes Too Faced also released for spring.  The center shade is by far the lightest and requires quite a bit of product to give the above coverage on my current NC37 skin.  The last shade of the trio is on the right of the heart and is a beautiful shimmery shade that I think will be especially complementary to those with warmer skin.  Blended together the new shade most resembles the last two with a bit of the cool blue of the first.

Summary:  Because of its four colors and unique requirements for application, Too Faced Sweethearts Blush works especially well for travelling or touch-ups on the go.  It is in convenient packaging, the colors are universal, it requires travel-sized brushes or fingers, and individual shades match a multitude of makeup looks.

I’m wearing it today and I love it for winter too. It’s fresh and sweet and I love it for a soft feminine look.

That has got to be the cutest thing I’ve EVER seen.

:D It does make a girl want to say, “D’aawwwww”

Do you think that darker skin tones, preferably NW46’s will see good color payoff with these blushes?

    • Alison M

The blush is definitely buildable and I tend to use two light-medium layers on NC37 to get a good show of color. So I think it would work by simply using a bit more product. However, the real winner for me is the finish and that should work on any skin tone. I put together a look based on this blush and a new TF lip color that will be coming up soon. Keep an eye out for that to get a better idea of the wear :) I’ve been wearing it all week though, it’s pure love!

I just picked this up yesterday at Sephora; I’ve seen it on blogs before, but seeing it in person? OMG, it is SO cute and the colors are so pretty! I can’t wait to test it out this week. Photographing it was really fun!

This has become an easy go-to shade. I’ve heard a lot of people (with lighter skin than mine even) saying it’s more of a highlighter, but I totally disagree. This blush is way buildable and I get tons of color pay-off.

Yes ma’am you get plenty of color payoff! I’ve got NW 20 skin and this is an amazing pop of shimmery coral fun! Plus, every time I see it I think, “Aw…that is adorable.” :)
