If you’ve never tried theBalm blushes, you are missing out!  One of my favorite formulas (okay, probably my favorite), these blushes are the bomb (lame joke, I know…couldn’t resist!).

theBalm Blush Collection

The selection is rather limited, but owning the complete collection will cover every shade of blush needed.  How many are there in total?  Only four!  theBalm boys are undeniably some of the most gorgeous mattes available and the collection is well-rounded with the delightful shimmer from Hot Mama.

theBalm Hot Mama Package

theBalm Hot Mama blush

Hot Mama is the smallest of the four.  She is the iconic peachy pink shade (think NARS Orgasm) with subtle gold shimmer.  Personally?  I prefer this one to NARS.  Better formula, much more visible on my NC40 skin, better color.

theBalm Down Boy Package

theBalm Down Boy Blush

Down Boy offers a cool pink shade with slight lavender undertones.  It is a beautifully playful shade that runs slightly deeper than baby pink.  A very close shade is Sonia Kashuk Flamingo (see original review and comparison here).

theBalm Frat Boy Package

theBalm Frat Boy Blush

Frat Boy is the quintessential warm pink blush that matches every makeup look.  It is a medium sophisticated shade that works on women of any age.

theBalm Cabana Boy Package

theBalm Cabana Boy Blush

Cabana Boy fills in the gap by bringing a deeper rose-berry hue to the collection.  It is my most recent and final blush from theBalm and it’s exactly the type of full glow shade for which I hoped.

L-R:  Hot Mama, Down Boy, Frat Boy, Cabana Boy

The boys retail for $21.00 and contain .3 oz/8.5 g of product.  Hot Mama is slightly smaller at .25 oz/7.08 g and is $20.00.  The blushes can be purchased individually from theBalm website, occasionally at discounted prices on HauteLook, or at Nordstrom.  Every shade is about medium intensity in pigment.  They are incredibly smooth and buildable.
