Most of my life stays in neutral. With exception to makeup and shoes, I prefer black, gray, taupe, beige, and white everything. I still appreciate a very neutral makeup look too, but the “pop of color” approach is always very striking. I’ve most recently been captivated by taupes with a yellow inner corner. My own version centers around Makeup Geek Yellow Brick Road eyeshadow.
Fill the brows with Sonia Kashuk Brow Perfector in Taupe and emphasize underneath with Anastasia Brow Duality in Shell. Set the brows with Espresso Brow Gel.
Prep the lid with NYX Eyeshadow Base in Nude and the inner corner with NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese, then sweep Too Faced White Chocolate from lashes to brows.
Beginning at the outer corners of the lids, apply Makeup Geek Moondust at an angle working up and out from the center of the eye. Deepen the outer ‘v’ with Taupe Notch and press Yellow Brick Road along the inner corner and under the tear duct. Use Purely Naked in the crease and Creme Brulee to blend upward toward the browbone. Tightline with Too Faced Perfect Espresso, line the upper lashes thinly with Perfect Black, and smudge the upper line outward into a longer flick with NARS Dual-Intensity Sycorax. Line the lower lashes with Taupe Notch and apply one coat of NARS Volumizing Mascara.
Keep the skin natural and flawless by combining Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Crème in Nude with Radiant Satin Skin Foundation in Olive. Conceal with NARS Radiant Cream Concealer and set the face with Light Reflecting Setting Powder. Sweep Hourglass Radiant Light along the cheeks and outer areas of the face and Dim Light over the center. Bronze with Tarte Park Ave Princess and contour under the cheeks with NYX Over the Taupe eyeshadow. Apply NARS Madly blush to the cheeks and Honolulu Honey Lipstick for minimal color, letting Yellow Brick Road really shine.
