Gel liner.  There’s something I own exactly one of.  But these past couple months I’ve really been making an effort to up my game and Tarte is making it especially easy on me.

Tarte Amazonian Clay LinerThe summer Aqualillies collection is to die for.  The packaging and the shades are absolute perfection and I seized the opportunity to work on my eyelining abilities.  The Waterproof Clay Liner in black is not a limited edition shade, but the mint and gold cap and brush were too good to pass up.

IMG_0996The smooth, inky black goodness of Tarte Amazonian Clay Liner makes application a breeze.  I prefer using the bent side of the dual-end brush which allows a better view of what I’m doing.

Clay liner can be applied in a thin or thick line and wings out more easily than my favorite pencil and liquid liners.  The Amazonian Clay keeps the liner from smudging and it stays in place on my lid all day.  I also like to tightline with this formula.  And while it does stay on my waterline for 7-8 hours, I haven’t worn it that way after testing because I felt the black too heavy for June.  Perhaps I need the shimmering turquoise limited edition shade?  Regardless of whether or not I do end up with Splash, I know that I won’t be looking any further than Tarte for my next gel (albeit clay) eyeliner.
