New this spring from Sonia Kashuk at Target is a line of four Pearlescence Longwear Creme Eyeshadows. With lipglossesque packaging and a doe foot applicator, the formula is initially more liquid than creme. It blends onto the skin easily and doesn’t crease.
Tiger’s Eye Creme Shadow / Island Dreams Eye Quad / Parisian Pink Satin Luxe Lip Color / Pinky Promise Nail Colour
Tiger’s Eye is an opaque bronze that begins with intensity, but fades evenly over the course of the day. It can be worn alone or, as I prefer, as a base for powder eyeshadows. The photo below shows Tiger’s Eye a couple hours after application. The medium tone and pearl finish stay true to the wearable philosophy of the Sonia Kashuk line.
The four available colors (Diamond, Moonstone, Tiger’s Eye, and Quartz) are light to medium neutrals each with the namesake pearl finish. They are an easy transition for anyone looking to venture out of the powder eyeshadow world.
What are your thoughts on cream eyeshadows…do you prefer them alone or combined with powder?
Summary: Sonia Kashuk Pearlescence Longwear Creme Eyeshadow in Tiger’s Eye adds more versatility to your makeup. When worn alone the full impact fades slightly after a couple of hours but most of the color stays in place and it doesn’t crease. A liquid formula that blends easily before setting, it makes a great budget-friendly base for powder eyeshadows.
