It’s been awhile since I was this excited about an eyeshadow quad. I’m typically a full palette kind of girl, but there’s something about Sonia Kashuk Eye Quads that cause me to make exceptions. Be it the formula, the price, or the color combinations, I’m not sure, but this is not the first time I’ve fallen head over heels in love.
The Sonia Kashuk Spring 2014 collection is on point across the board. From the new Satin Luxe Lip Colors to the cream eyeshadows, the Eye Quads to the Nail Colours and even new vanity accessories, I’m digging it.
Island Dreams is one of three new Eye Quads and it has a combination of four gorgeous colors that I’m craving right now. A cool antique gold, taupe, rich cobalt blue, and sea green combine to turn four gorgeous colors into one stunning quad.
All four shades are buttery and smooth. It is easy to blend away some of the color so I build and blend repeatedly until I get the look I desire. Below I used the gold toward the inner corner of my eye, the blue on the rest of my mobile lid, taupe in the crease, and sea green on my lower lashline.
This quad reminds me a lot of the Fall 2011 Eye on Color Palette. The formula is my favorite from Sonia Kashuk and is arguably the best drugstore eyeshadow formula around.
The colors are fantastic for summer as well and the water theme has me ready for sunshine. I took a class last night on creating a Radiant Orchid eye look (more on that later) and the blue and green were both a part of that look. So if you’re looking for colorful ways to wear Radiant Orchid, this is another complement to Pantone’s Color of the Year.
Have you spotted Sonia Kashuk Spring 2014 at your local Target yet?
Summary: Sonia Kashuk Eye Quad in Island Dreams is a steal with four superior quality eyeshadows at a drugstore price. The satin and shimmer finish is perfect for the person who likes that extra something without full sparkle. I highly recommend Island Dreams to add color to a makeup wardrobe for spring and summer.
