After some minor stalking of my local Target, I stopped in today for some printer paper and did a quick drive by of the Sonia Kashuk aisle.  Let’s face it – all the teasers she put on Twitter have left me more than anxious for her spring line!  Low and behold…what did I see?  The item I’ve most anticipated!

12 Spring/Summer Shades with 3 How-To Guides

Who wouldn’t want this palette?!  Since buying her Eye on Fall Color and Eye on Neutral palettes, I’ve come to realize just how easy she makes it to wear every shade.  The three complete looks she provides (with how-to’s!) can start even beginners off on the right foot.  Her color palettes are the easiest way to learn how to play with color.  No worries… I’ll be doing each of these in the coming weeks for another post.

Moving on… the following four photos are swatches of every shade by row.  These were swatched with my fingers.

Row 1 – Shades 1, 2, 3 All three of these shades are shimmery and will make excellent highlight shades.  Shade 3 has a very strange consistency and was a bit crumbly while swatching (think Caught in the Act Courtney by theBalm) but I have no doubt that it will apply just fine with eye brushes.
Row 2 – Shades 4, 5, 6 (4 and 5 were difficult to photograph and I still feel like the texture didn’t quite come through. Very soft with loose sparkles.)  This whole row is lovely and reminds me of sunsets at the beach!
Row 3 – Shades 7, 8, 9 You can see more of the loose sparkle effect here in 7 and 8.  This will be my most difficult row to use because I have a hard time getting pinks and purples to work right, but these are so pretty that I can’t wait to try!
Row 4 – Shades 10, 11, 12 I don’t currently own anything like these shades.  Sooo pretty!  Every time I look at them I’m reminded of mermaids.  And the Gulf!  Maybe there are mermaids in the Gulf… ;)  This is another group of colors I wouldn’t normally pick, but again, have complete confidence in trying because of the how-to guides included with the palette.

The next photo is every shade swatched again, but this time with a small eyeshadow brush.  I have to say that I’m am very excited to put Sonia’s three looks together!

See how wearable these shades are?

Sonia Kashuk’s spring line is scheduled to be on Target shelves in March.  I was really happy to grab this palette early – my Fall Color palette was sold out before it was supposed to be available and wasn’t back on the shelves again for over a month.  So run to your Target now and get yours before it’s gone!
