I have had lots of time to play with all the gorgeous shades from Sonia Kashuk’s spring eye palette, Eye on Pure Color (swatches here). As always in her twelve shade palettes, she included three step-by-step looks with how-to guides and complementing blush and lip shade suggestions. This whole palette is full of color so it’s been fun experimenting!
This is the only look I was apprehensive about. I say that because these shadows are in the hardest family for me to wear…blue-greens. I’m surprised to say that I love the shadow! The lip color, on the other hand, I’m not so crazy about. I think this combination will work better on women with cooler undertones. With a peachier nude lip color and Sunset blush, I thought the eye was more wearable but I’m still looking for my perfect combination yet.
The most feminine color scheme of the three, this is full of beautiful pinks and purples. The eye shadows will require a white base for anyone with medium skin or deeper, but I love the softness in the final product. The cheek is one of Sonia Kashuk’s new shades and, while shocking in the compact, it is simply gorgeous! I substituted the lip color in this look for my favorite shade in Sonia’s new line (review here). I couldn’t help myself…the color is just too pretty!
This is a beautiful warm combination of neutrals for anyone wanting a summer-y look. With an added eye liner and touch of the new Illuminating Bronzer, it can be more defined. The lip color here is stunning and essential to your spring/summer collection.
I currently own four of the Sonia Kashuk twelve color palettes and haven’t been disappointed yet. If you’re looking for easy color this spring and summer, you can’t go wrong with Eye on Pure Color! For another take on these looks and video tutorial, head over to Jessin’s Youtube channel.
