NARSskin Multi-Action Hydrating Toner: I use this in the morning when I don’t work out, if my skin is great when I wake up, and after masks. It makes me a true toner believer. I’m almost out and will repurchase.
Alba Botanica Hawaiian Facial Cleanser: I recently ran out of my beloved Joanna Vargas Vitamin C Face Wash and wasn’t sure which way to turn. I wanted something gentle that would fully cleanse my pores without stripping my skin. I am very impressed and will continue to purchase while my skin remains balanced. It has made a huge difference in the congestion of the pores on my nose.
Eve Lom Daily Protection SPF 50: I’m a huge proponent for SPF. This summer I upped my game and opted for SPF 50 daily instead of my typical 30. A little bit goes a long way, there is a handy pump, and best of all it doesn’t leave me greasy so it wears very well under makeup. The skin care benefits include brightening, firming, and smoothing ingredients as well as Vitamins C and E…my two essentials in skin care.
Supergoop! Every Day Sunscreen SPF 50: If I’ll be spending time outside, at the water park, or the beach, I go for Supergoop! instead because it is water resistant and suitable for my children. My son is particularly sensitive to things getting in his eyes and hasn’t once complained about Supergoop!.
Ole Henriksen Fresh Start Eye Cream: I like a hydrating and firming eye cream both morning and night. This is quite a thick consistency and I feel like I use more than my previous eye cream to get the same hydration, but it is also a larger jar. So far so good.
Night aka Take It Off, Take It All Off
Sonia Kashuk Remove Eye Makeup Remover: I have been using this for years. It is the only thing that removes the most stubborn of waterproof mascaras. I soak a cotton round and hold it over my eye socket with gentle pressure for 30 seconds to a minute (depending on what eye makeup I have on) before gently wiping away.
The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil: This is to be used in lieu of makeup wipes on dry skin. I massage two pumps all over my face, add a small amount of warm water, massage some more, then remove with warmer water still.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Gentle Facial Wash: This is a fabulous cleanser that cleans my skin and leaves it balanced. There is just enough foaming for my preference and it doesn’t leave a residue on my skin. This balances out my current night time moisturizer.
m-61 Vitablast C: Serums and oils seem to congest my skin or leave it feeling greasy. I received this as a giveaway for showing up at bluemercury on founder Marla Beck’s birthday and wearing blue shoes (I was tenth in line for ten winners!). It is pricey, but oh so good. Honestly? It helps my skin recover so well after a cystic spot that I might purchase it when I run out. I tend to only use this on an as-needed basis. It is really amazing.
Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Gel: I’m still making my mind up about this one. It does an amazing job keeping my pores clear, getting rid of skin textural issues, and tag-teaming to clear up break outs. I wake up with skin that feels nourished, but not greasy. However. It makes my skin feel very dehydrated immediately after using. I’ve tried using it with an argan oil to counteract that feeling, but it causes the oil to pill up on my skin. I am undecided if I will repurchase, but I really enjoy the results and it is worth considering for combination or oily skin. Also…it now comes packaged with a pump. This does sway me towards a repurhase.

Joanna Vargas Exfoliating Mask: I truly enjoy this. My skin always looks amazing after and I see myself purchasing when I run out. It has both chemical and physical exfoliators and (when I take the time to use it weekly) it helps prevent cystic breakouts.
The Body Shop Ionic Clay Mask: I finally found a clay mask that actually works. It smells weird (maybe just to my sensitive and picky nose?), but it is the only mask that gets everything out of my pores.
The Body Shop Honey & Oat Mask: I save this for when my skin needs TLC or if I decided to do all three masks in one night. This is my last step. I never use it to scrub, but I do like how it makes my skin feel balanced and nourished.
Vitamin E Oil: I’m not picky about which brand I use. This is for when all sorts of skin ailments, but I use it specifically on recovering acne spots. It decreases the scarring and enables faster healing.
Yes to Carrots Fragrance Free Intense Hydration Night Cream: This is a cold weather nightly moisturizer for me, but it also makes a fabulous gentle recovery cream. I love it after masks or after a very long day in the sun.
