The one shade of blush I would recommend to anyone as a first product/must-have/wear with everything? Peachy pink. There are at least a million varieties of peachy pink and everyone’s definition of the shade differs, but here are my favorites:
From subdued to face brightening, from the juiciest part of the fruit to the deepest part of the flesh, I’ve got all varieties covered. Some of these blushes can be included under different color categories like coral or warm pink, but all are still wearable as a natural flush.
theBalm Frat Boy – The first I of this group that I recall owning, it’s not one to miss (okay, none of these are). If you like a super soft texture that blends easily and a very basic every day shade sans shimmer, this is the one for you.
Topshop Do It Again – Of these six, Do It Again is the only one with a shimmer. The tiny gold reflects are indistinguishable from the blush itself and turns this one into a blush and highlighter in one. It is a fantastic choice for anyone who enjoys summer and fall tones.
Sonia Kashuk Beautifying Blush in Melon – I passed this one for years at Target. Under the crazy fluorescent store lighting it looks far brighter than at home. I recommend Melon to anyone, but especially to mature makeup wearers who want a face-brightening shade that is still sophisticated.
Sonia Kashuk Beautifying Blush in Sunset – Another low-cost option, Sunset always looks bright. But on the cheeks it still looks subtle. This shade is particularly great in winter to give a warm flush to the cheeks.
NARS Amour – And here we have the deeper part of the peach. Bordering on rosy, Amour is an option I’ve found myself gravitating toward lately. Peachy pinks don’t always have to be light or bright and I find Amour particularly flattering as my skin tans.
Kett Cosmetics Fixx Creme Makeup in Daiquiri – I am still a huge fan of Kett Cosmetics and their HD makeup. Daiquiri is a wax-based and water resistant creme that comes in handy for humid summer weather, bridal makeup, and videography.
