At The Makeup Show Orlando I got to meet and play with Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics for the first time. There is so much color that I stood awestruck for awhile before diving into swatches head first. Unfamiliar with the line and how the formulas would wear on my skin, I limited myself and only purchased three products – one of which was Creme Colour Concentrate in Discipline.
There were so. many. of these that I wanted to buy and my wish list is still hovering around four. But for now I’m content playing with the formula and exploring what Creme Colour Concentrates have to offer.
Discipline is a gorgeous neutral mid-tone brown with flecks of shimmer. Worn alone on my lid I get the “wet look” and I simply adore it. But it creases. Which lead me to get in touch with OCC customer service who confirmed that these are not meant to be stand alone cream eyeshadows.
So I use this after eyeshadow primer as a base to give powder eyeshadows more dimension and pizzazz. And you know what? I like it.
Right now my favorite pairings are Makeup Geek Hipster or Urban Decay Naked because they match Discipline well enough to show its natural color and sparkle. But I see so much more potential than just neutrals.
Availability: Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics
Summary: Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Creme Colour Concentrate in Discipline is a unique neutral base. Its competitive pricing and clear color packaging drew me in, and the beautiful shimmer (far from your average bronze and gold sparkle) makes me happy to have it in my collection. I’ve never seen another product with the same coloring.
Disclosure: This product was purchased with my own money.
