Because I’m not much of a lipgloss fan, I haven’t tried very many formulas. But as I work my way through more of the cruelty-free NYX line, I couldn’t help but pick up two of their Butter Glosses.
Cherry Cheesecake and Strawberry Parfait are perfect shades for summer. Both are rather pigmented for being glosses. The formula is plush on my lips and doesn’t feel sticky at all. Neither are terribly long lasting, but for the price I don’t mind going through it quickly.
Cherry Cheesecake looks very orange when swatched, but on the lips it is a perfect coral shade. Strawberry Parfait is a very cool toned lavender pink.
Wearing NYX Butter Gloss in Cherry Strawberry Parfait
There are twelve shades in the Butter Gloss line offering colors from nude to red and everything in between. They are scented sweetly of vanilla and sugar, but the scent doesn’t linger. The packaging is small, conveniently colorful, and offers a perfect doe-foot applicator. While I don’t currently plan to pick up more shades – seriously, just not a gloss person – I can imagine looking through the line again should the need for a particular shade arise.
