Just when we thought St. Johns Town Center couldn’t get any better, Nordstrom announced arrival in Jacksonville with an opening October 10, 2014. The time has finally arrived and to kick-off the festivities, Nordstrom held an opening gala raising $105,000 for Cathedral Arts Project, the Junior League of Jacksonville, and Wolfson Children’s Hospital. I was honored to cover the event and I truly admire Nordstrom for giving back to the community. In addition to charitable giving, Nordstrom Jacksonville hired 350 new employees under direction of manager Brandy Jefferson.
Come on out to Nordstrom Jacksonville at St. Johns Town Center Friday, October 10th
to enjoy a pre-opening Beauty Bash from 8:00am-10:00am
and the Grand Opening at 10:00am.
The first Nordstrom store opened in Seattle in 1901 and was a shoe store. Nordstrom carries on the tradition of first-class service over a century later and the St. Johns Town Center location has five shoe departments, men’s, women’s, and children’s departments, a children’s play area, beauty department with exclusives in Jacksonville such as Chantecaille, Giorgio Armani, Tom Ford, and Jo Malone, Ebar Espresso Bar, Bazille Restaurant, and so much more.
Throughout the two story and 122,000 square foot store, 1,400 gala guests enjoyed appetizers, food stations, drinks, 30 models wearing the latest fashions, and entertainment by The River Town Band and DJ Skip Kelly.
And of course, there was shopping.
