Next up in my series from Nexxus is the Frizz Defy line. I purchased the shampoo and conditioner at my grocery store when I was running low on my former hair care products. I was most interested in them because they have coconut extract. Argan oil products tend to be too heavy for me to use on a regular basis, but the mixture of moisturizers in Nexxus Frizz Defy was interesting. After using both products for a couple of weeks, I got in touch with Nexxus who then sent the Styling Creme as well.
Frizz Defy shampoo and conditioner make a noticeable difference in my hair right in the shower. It feels smoother and more hydrated immediately. Before blow drying I add the Styling Creme, focusing on the mid-shaft to ends of my hair. The results are sleek shiny hair.
On rainy or humid days, my hair still gets frizzy (especially as the days progress between washes). The biggest difference is that the frizz doesn’t last. When I head inside (or it stops raining) my hair seems to re-smooth itself. I expect to set aside the Hydra-Light line towards summer and stick to Frizz Defy products as Florida humidity is brutal. There is also a Leave In Treatment that I want to test drive in hopes that the Argan/Coconut blend of that oil works well for my fine hair.
Adding a styling products for hold (my ends go back to natural curls so fast!) and a post-blowout serum make my hair straighter, but Frizz Defy shampoo, conditioner, and styling creme definitely start things off in the right direction.

Summary: Nexxus Frizz Defy shampoo and conditioner use Argan Oil and Coconut Extract to smooth my hair without weighing it down. The blend doesn’t cause excess oil buildup in my fine hair between washes like most Argan Oil products. While frizz is still expected in the rain and humidity, my hair smooths out again in normal conditions.
