I spent the past couple of months re-learning my skin. The absurd coldness this winter taught me about treating and preventing dryness. A change-up in cleansers and treatment masks made me realize my cystic breakouts can be avoided altogether. And a trial run of Vitamin C products has me on board with other key elements in my routine.
The thing about grapefruit is that it “is rich in Vitamin C and Lycopene (anti-oxidant heavy hitters), which naturally help to even skin tone and enhance luminosity, promoting healthier, smoother and softer looking skin.”
Yes to Grapefruit offers a facial skin care system and products for the body too. I learned from the Yes to Carrots Fragrance Free line that my skin appreciates a good exfoliating scrub in the morning. Something more brisk than my Clarisonic offers. Yes to Grapefruit Daily Facial Scrub is the energizing boost my skin needs to buff away dead skin cells. And the lemon balm “helps calm and repair damaged skin, restoring a healthy glow.”
There is also an exfoliating body wash with pumice to smooth and licorice root to soothe. I say that’s a win-win situation if the weather ever warms up enough to let us show a little skin.
Vitamin C is a major player in my external skin care now and with good reason. My skin hasn’t been this happy in a very long time.
