That packaging and detail…..
If you are into really great packaging, odds are you’ve already picked up one of Kat Von D’s Studded Kiss Lipsticks. Exclusive to Sephora and at a comparatively reasonable price of $21.00, they’ve made a wave for sure. I am currently partial to mattes and metallics (which I think covers every shade of Studded Kisses?) and waited impatiently for these to arrive on the shelves of my local Sephora.
I was initially drawn to Wolvesmouth for its deep berry color and metallic finish. Having already purchased Urban Decay Shame (see it here) for the upcoming season, I wanted another vampy shade with a little more edge.
I also like that there is more red than purple in Wolvesmouth. I haven’t found another cruelty free berry similar to this so it ranks high on my list of color choices at the moment. The first day I wore Wolvesmouth, I almost decided to return it. I applied 2-3 swipes of color to my lips and it looked beautiful. But then it started to separate and there were deep purple tones in my lip lines. I’m glad I decided to keep trying it because on days two and three the problem didn’t repeat itself. I am still unsure if it was the condition of my lips or just a kink in the first wear of Studded Kisses, but rest assured it hasn’t happened again.
While learning to smoke out purple eyeshadow on my lower lash line, I decided to get colorful. Who knows what got into me, but I’m liking it. Rumpled hair, NARS Jolie Poupée on the eyes, and berry Wolevsmouth on my…mouth.
