There are so many tags out there for the “five product face” or the “three minute face.” And while those are fun in the hypothetical world, let’s get real.  Let’s talk the bare essentials.  The oh-my-gosh-it’s-an-hour-past-my-alarm-and-I’m-just-waking-up products.  Now, I’m not opposed to going out into the world with a naked face.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with it and I do it often.  But there are times (like an event I had at my daughter’s school this morning) where I’d like to look like I’m not just walking off the set of a new zombie thriller.  Here I’ve turned my “quick face” into a “fast and furious” face.

Two Product Face

As I didn’t have time to wash, I used a cotton round soaked in exfoliating toner and ran it across my face and  neck.  I massaged in my fastest absorbing moisturizer and half my usual amount of eye cream.  No skipping that step altogether for me, but I also didn’t have time to let it sink in.  A quick run of a brush through my hair and a ton of Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray to refresh.

Then I headed straight to my makeup table.  I used NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard under my eyes, on my lids, and on any redness.  This choice required the bit of eye cream, but eliminated the need for setting powder as other concealers might need.  Then I filled my brows with NARS Eyeshadow in Bali.  And to add just a touch of oomph to my lashes (no time for mascara!), I quickly pressed Bali into the base of my lashes with the same brush.

Two Product Face Closeup

Certainly I wanted to add brightener under my eyes, some mascara and a hint of blush, but time was of the essence.  And you know what? No one even noticed that I had an hour less than usual to shower and get dressed.
