I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am over rose-toned eyeshadows. I don’t know when I got over my olive complexion being difficult and decided pink-ish hues would be my new love, but it’s become a full-blown fetish. So yesterday at 7:00am EST when I saw Naked 3 available online, I quickly ordered. And when it landed on my doorstep first thing this morning I was more than shocked.
I am not intending this to be a complete review, but I do want to give you a peak. And because I am doing a look I felt it only fair to show the product and swatches so you can see exactly what shades I used.
The Steal Our Look video Urban Decay shared is a fairly typical combination I expected to see. I did steal it (above) and it is pretty, but I had something a little deeper in mind…
I was initially drawn to Naked 3 when Urban Decay finally released promo images because of Blackheart. Seriously lovely shade. Especially when applied wet like I did here. But let’s start from the beginning.
After applying Urban Decay Anti Aging Primer Potion all over both lids, I used a wash of Nooner from lashline through the crease. I used 24/7 Glide-On Pencil in Zero at the outer 1/2 of the upper lashline and smudged upwards. I then applied Liar to the mobile lid and Mugshot to the outer 3/4. With a damp brush I added Blackheart at the outer V and angled downward toward the center of the upper lashline.
Zero was used to tightline and along the waterline, I smudged Darkside along the outer lower lashes and Mugshot from the inner lashes meeting them in the middle. To accentuate the browbone and lighten the inner corner I applied Strange.
The look was completed with black lengthening mascara, a soft pink blush and a rosy lip color. All about the roses.
