Lately I’ve been wanting that winter glow.  Not the flush like I’ve just been out in the cold and certainly not the look of having spent a vacation in the sun.  Something more like I’ve been sitting next to the fireplace with a latte and my Kindle.  You see, we have a fireplace, we repaired our fireplace, and we can’t seem to light a fire in our fireplace (Update:  We figured it out!  Yay!).  Can you imagine me attempting camping??? I get shivers at the thought.

So given my inability to get the glow naturally, I turned to my ever trusty drawer of makeup.

Tarte Natural Beauty and Too Faced Sun Bunny

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Natural Beauty imparts a beautiful red-pink shade to the cheeks that remains quite natural and doesn’t delve into the realms of rose or berry as so many cold-weather blushes do.

And Too Faced Sun Bunny Bronzer (I have a sample size but need the full-size) offers a light-medium golden glow.  Nothing like I just came back from Aruba and finely milled enough to keep me from looking like an Oompa Loompa disco ball.

I hesitated to include a swatch photo because it really doesn’t give the true effect, but I thought it best to at least show the color.  As you can see, Natural Beauty is quite matte (though it doesn’t mattify) and Sun Bunny has a soft glow.  When worn I get exactly the look I’m going for.

So cozy!  Sun Bunny is ever so subtle over the rather bold color of Natural Beauty but this method has proved far more effective than using radiant face powders that I own.  It also offers the exact coloring of sitting fireside.

I’m all about the glow lately…luminous skin, shimmering eyes, glossy lips and fireside cheeks.  Do you turn to radiance for winter?  What are some of your favorite luminous power couples?
