A girl can never have too many makeup brushes. My affection for proper application tools runs as deep as my love of lipstick — each one has its nuances making stand out from the rest. Or at least that’s what I tell myself every time I oogle a new brush and decide to add it to my shopping cart.
Cover FX is best known for their extensive shade range of face products, but they also carry quality brushes to give a flawless application. They were kind enough to send me four many months ago and I’m finally getting around to showing them off.
Concealer – Flat and semi-stiff. Preferred for undereye concealer. Fabulous coverage using less than my typical amount of product. Needs to be washed more frequently than a round/fluffy concealer brush.
Liquid Foundation – Small and dense. Great for stippling and buffing foundation. Requires extra time due to the smaller-than-average size. Can handle thin or thick foundation formulas. Superb for cream or liquid blushes.
Cream Foundation – Fluffy and very bendy. Best for sticking with products of its namesake to avoid streaking. Use with a gliding motion.
Powder – Excellent for the rock-and-roll application method. Superb for use with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders (really really fabulous results). Smaller than the average kabuki brush, making it easier to press powder into smaller areas of the face.
Each of these brushes is high quality and useful in my collection. They clean well, are cruelty free, and have synthetic bristles. The handles are solid and thick. I expect them to last many years given the high quality and sturdy construction. Favorites? Absolutely.
