I want to give a quick little shout-out to this lovely mascara that comes in a very close second place to my beloved MUFE Smoky Lash.  In spring I purchased Benefit BADgal Waterproof Mascara on the recommendation of a sales attendant.  I told her I like volume, curl, and lots of drama.  The bigger the better!  But my lashes are stubborn and don’t like to do what I say.  So she led me to Benefit BADgal saying she never sees returns on it.  I opted for the waterproof formula to better keep a curl.

At first I was disappointed with the wand on BADgal Waterproof because the bristles are long on the ends of the brush and short in the middle.  The Benefit website currently calls it a “slimline brush”, but mine isn’t all that slim.  Do any BADgals know if it has been changed since May?  The regular BADgal mascara has a very full brush and I didn’t care much for the sample I tried.  It actually helped me appreciate the waterproof brush more.

The formula is a bit drier, which is great for stubborn lashes.  It applies easily and can be built for fuller looking lashes.  I get a bit more separation from this compared to MUFE Smoky Lash, but not quite as much volume.  I find this to give more of a conservative drama than a drag-queen-volume drama.  Is that possible?

Overall, I love it.  So much that I have a feeling I’ll go back and forth between BADgal Waterproof and Smoky Lash for a long long time.
