How many neutral eyeshadow palettes do you own? Are you ready for one more? I hope so, because Becca recently released the Ombre Nudes Eye Palette with five matte neutral brown shades.
The formula is silky smooth, blends with almost no effort, and the pigmentation is superb. If you’re looking for a no-nonsense wear with ev-er-y-thing palette, this is it. I gave Ombre Nudes a good run for its money over the last week. The shade range let me bump up crease depth on a more dramatic day, works well for a smoky eye, and is simple enough for 7 minute makeup on the first day of school.
The fact that the palette is limited to five shades means it takes me less time to narrow down my choices. Sometimes the 12-pan palettes get a little overwhelming, you know? And all matte means it is acceptable for every situation on ladies of all ages. Not a fan of mattes? Layer these over a shimmering primer or cream base instead. Wait…that’s like having 10 eyeshadows in 5!
Today I opted for shade 1 on the brow bone, 2 from lashes through the crease, and 4 quickly blended into the outer ‘v’. I even used shade 3 as a brow fill. It’s (again) matte, ashy enough, and goes on very natural. While I prefer a bold brow, I’m more than happy to go a bit lighter in color if it means I can use less products and get out the door faster. Seriously. 7 minutes for this whole face. That’s a big deal for this product junkie.
What do you think of all matte eyeshadow palettes? Have you tried eyeshadows from Becca?
