Bold blush!! Seriously though. BOLD. And so pigmented that it’s entirely possible to overdo application with the lightest of brush taps into the product. But let’s back this up a bit, shall we?
Becca recently launched two new mineral blushes. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen much of them in the interwebs because the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop has taken the world by storm. Not saying it’s a bad thing, just unfortunate timing. Lantana, Hyacinth, and Nightingale are all new releases and all beautiful colors. Furthermore, they are a step out of the natural-face comfort zone for which Becca is well known. After first glimpses the brand shared online, I expected more buzz. Instead? Crickets.
Well I say, no more! Brava, Jaclyn! But also brava to the blush beauties!
I just can’t with all of the lovely. No really, I can’t with all of it. Two swipes of my finger on the blush, then a stripe down my arm. I used the leftovers for the blended swatches, but it was still way too much product! I am suuuuuuper careful with application and find on my NC40 skin that the Real Techniques Multi-Task Brush is best for application. Even then, I pick up minimal product, swirl it on the back of my hand, and move on to both cheeks. Fair skinned gals might be able to pull it off with a duo fiber brush, but it will require extreme care. Not only are these pigmented, but they have long wear time (huzzah!). So keep a powder foundation handy to apply over the top if you go overboard. If you have deep skin? Enjoy!
While I’m particularly fond of bright blush with bold lips, keep in mind bright blush wears well with more natural lip colors too. But, bold lips. I had to.
