The beauty world is ablaze with contour and the queen of highlighters recently launched two palettes.
Becca’s version of a contour palette is a one-size-fits-all duo in either cream or powder. But don’t let the simplicity fool you – these could be all you need. I’ve been giving the Becca Lowlight-Highlight Perfecting Palette Pressed (“pressed” is the code word for powder in case you’re a Becca newb) a good go of it. I have a “meh,” an “oooooooo!” and an “allllriiiiight!” for you.
I’m a massive fan of the matte brown and metal packaging that is typical of so many Becca products. So the plain high shine plastic of this palette (the same style as Ombre Nudes) doesn’t make me as giddy as the Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfectors (and blushes, mineral powders, etc etc).
As far as pigmentation, I’m blown away. The punch that Lowlight Sculpting Perfector packs is second to none and it’s almost to a fault. I find the blending takes more time and effort than the the cream version of this shade, but the result is still spectacular.
The Highlight is where it’s at. I’m obsessed with it at the moment and it was recently featured in my Spring Favorites. The shade is Pressed Opal (y’all know I love the liquid Opal) so no surprise that I like the color. But having it in a duo is kind of fantastic.
So do I like Becca Lowlight/Highlight Perfecting Palette Pressed? You bet your sculpted cheeks I do! My love of Lowlight Sculpting Perfector runs deeper though so I still have my eye on the cream palette which, by the way, has limited edition Quartz Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured. The “warm peach with blushed rose” highlight needs to come home to mama! #addictalert
