While exploring green eyeshadows I came across this lovely Down to Earth duo by Sonia Kashuk.
I love the (yes) earthiness of both shades and was feeling the need to take it for a test spin. A bit of fallout when I used a fluffy brush for it, so it’s good I started off with the eyes. This also gave me the opportunity to choose the right blush and lip shades to go with the green. Here’s what I did…
I began with Sonia Kashuk Extreme Wear Eye Primer from the lashline and up through the crease. Then I packed on the warm taupe side of Down to Earth all over the mobile lid and buffed it through the crease. The green side was focused at my outer corner and crease in a V-shape, then I highlighted my browbones with NARS Madrague I.
I primed my skin with NARS Pro-Prime Oil-Free Pore Refining Primer, then buffed in NARS Sheer Glow in Stromboli. I created a triangle under each eye with Trish McEvoy Instant Eye Lift and used patting motions to blend it in. With a fluffy brush I lightly buffed theBalm Time Balm on top, concentrating most of the color where the brightener and foundation met.
I set my face makeup with Becca Mineral Powder Foundation in Noisette and used Too Faced Chocolate Soleil to contour my cheek bones and forehead. Topshop blush in Do It Again added color and glow to the upper and outer portions of my cheeks. I filled my brows with Sonia Kashuk Brow Definer in Taupe and brushed Anastasia Espresso Brow Gel through to define the hairs.
I went back to my eyes with Too Faced Perfect eyes Perfect Espresso lining the entire upper lashline as well as the outer half of my lower waterline. I went back with the taupe eyeshadow and swept it under my lower lashes, then added the green to the outer part of my lower lashline. I finished my eyes with NARS Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara.
NARS Honolulu Honey canceled out my natural lip color and laid a base for Buxom Full-Bodied Lip Gloss in Sweet Thing.
