Be it the warm weather, my skin clearing up, or DST passing, I’m ready for spring!  I had a sudden burst of energy when I sat at my makeup table today and wanted to completely change the pace from my most recent every day looks.  Gone are the days of cream foundation.  Gone are the rosy neutral lips (finally, amirite?).  I’m ready to move on!  I put together a look encompassing everything I think of when “spring makeup” comes to mind.

Spring in My Step

First up, I prepped my lids with Too Faced shadow Insurance.  Then I pulled out my Shady Lady palettes from theBalm for their perfect satin finish eyeshadows.  I started by patting Devilish Danielle over the inner 3/4 of each lid.  Mischievous Marissa was added to the inner 1/3 before using Shameless Shana at the outer 1/4 and through the entire crease.  I then continued buffing from above the crease to the brow bone  to completely fade the color without the use of a highlight shade.

I lined my upper lashlines with Too Faced Perfect Brown eyeliner and ran theBalm Caught in the Act Courtney over the top.  After each eye I used whatever remained on the brush for very subtle definition at the lower lashline.

Spring in My Step Eyes

For very fresh and lightweight skin, I chose Sonia Kashuk Radiant+ Tinted Moisturizer in Honey and buffed it in with a Real Techniques Stippling Brush.  This is my favorite method for applying any tinted moisturizer.  To conceal I chose theBalm Time Balm Concealer in Medium and went back with Devilish Danielle to highlight the inner corners of my eyes before curling my lashes and applying Milani Runway Lashes Mascara.

I set my T-Zone and undereyes with NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder, than buffed Hourglass Dim Light over the top and on my cheeks.  I swept Radiant light along my jawline, temples, and under my cheekbones before contouring my cheeks and forehead with The Body Shop Bronzing Powder in Medium.

My lips were to be floral and vibrant.  I lined and filled my lips with Beauty for Real lip liner to tone down my natural lip color and applied two layers of Too Faced Fuchsia Shock.  To balance the boldness I added Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Flush to my cheeks focusing the color higher and toward the outside of my face and used the emphasEYES Brow Mousse in Medium Brown to fill my brows.

Shimmering eyes, glowing skin, and  a colorful pout are my favorite expressions of spring makeup.  How do your product choices change as the weather warms?
